The Perfect “Pearing”

Perfectly seasoned pears simmered in a mixture of cinnamon, lemon and vanilla bean! Cooked to perfection and topped with our No Sugar Added Butterscotch Ice Cream, this is a perfect, easy to make treat for any occasion!

  • 4 scoops Chapman’s NSA Butterscotch Ice Cream
  • 2 firm pears, sliced lengthwise in half and cored
  • 2 cups (500 mL) water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Preparation Instructions

Using a paring knife make a slit lengthwise down the middle of the vanilla bean, and then scrape out the vanilla bean paste.
Place water, cinnamon sticks, vanilla bean paste and lemon juice in a small pot, bring to boil and add prepared pears.
Simmer on low for 45 minutes until pears are soft.
Place pears in bowls and top each with a scoop of Chapmans NSA Butterscotch Ice cream.
