E-Newsletter
What information do we collect: Chapman’s collects names and emails from consumers when they register for our monthly e-newsletter. This newsletter is only sent out 12 times a year, so the use of this information is limited. Subscribers have the option to unsubscribe from this type of communication at any time, at which point their information will immediately be archived and not used again.
What is this information used for: Emails collected as a part of the e-newsletter subscription are used solely for the purpose of emailing consumers monthly e-newsletters.

What information do we collect: When registering for any of our contests or giveaways the information collected is only that provided by the consumer. This information typically consists of a name, email and province of residence. Selected winners will be contacted by email, after the conclusion of the contest, and asked to provide their mailing address for the prize delivery. Please note that we will never ask for any financial information in order to receive a prize or when entering for a contest.
What is this information used for: The information collected during the contest entry provides us with the ability to notify selected winners. All of our contests are for Canadian residents only, so we require a province of residence to verify the consumer resides in Canada. Home and mailing addresses are only used for the shipment of prizes and are otherwise electronically destroyed following the conclusion of the event.

What information do we collect: When we are contacted by consumers, the only information collected is for the purpose of resolving an issue or complaint and includes name, contact information and address. This information is transferred to an on-premise system.
What is this information used for: This information is solely used to resolve issues or queries and enhance consumer satisfaction. Once the issue is resolved the data is retained in the internal database indefinitely and is used to analyze the complaint history and overall consumer trends.
Who do we disclose this information to: Consumer emails are processed by Chapman’s customer service team and shared with the Chapman’s Management team. We do not share any information coming through customer service with any third parties.
Coupons and Calendars
What information do we collect: When consumer registers online to receive our coupon or calendar, they are asked to provide their name, email, and mailing address. This information is collecting solely for the purpose of delivering requested coupon or calendar to the consumer.
What is this information used for: This information is required to mail requested items to the consumer. The information provided is kept for the duration of the applicable campaign, in order for us to recognize repeated requests. This information is used for analytics to consumer behaviors and preferences to help improve our services.

What information do we collect: When using our Scoop Shop and Store Locator your postal code is used to locate products in your area. This is the only piece of information necessary for the use of this tool.

Job Applications
What information do we collect: When applying for jobs through our website, there are several fields that must be filled out in order to submit an application. These fields include your name, email, phone number, city and province of residence, as well as your resume. In addition, there is a questionnaire that must be completed regarding preferences relating to the job.
What is this information used for: This information is a standard part of the hiring process and is needed for our HR team to be able to process the application. We transfer web captured data to an on-premise internal applicant tracking system. There we store personal identifying information about applicants as well as the positions they applied for and application notes.
Who do we disclose this information to: Access to this information is limited to HR staff. Any information provided during job applications is not shared outside of Chapman’s.
Consent
How do we receive consent? When provided personal information to arrange for a delivery or return, we imply consent to our collection and usage to process the shipment. If we ask for personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will either ask for consent directly or provide an opportunity for consumers to say no.
Security
Personal information is held on web servers located within Canada and may be transferred in whole or part to Chapman’s internal systems. Only authorized Chapman’s staff and partners/agents of Chapman’s Ice Cream have access to the data. Chapman’s takes all reasonable precautions to keep all data secure.
