Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

The maintenance procurement coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the department to ensure the flow of stock items, non-stock items and inventory to their assigned locations. All records will be kept accurately as per department procedures. Assistance will be provided to other departments as requested.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Process the receipt of parts in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)
  • Assist employees in locating and sourcing stocked and non-stocked items
  • Responsible for keeping the shelves, parts counter and stockroom neat, organized and ensure parts are stored in a safe manner
  • Set up new inventory locations for new stock items
  • Daily counts of supplies stored throughout the facilities (Phoenix and Nut House)
  • Restocking of consumables such as gloves, hairnets, etc.
  • Arrange all requests for boots, smocks and bump caps for visitors and plant tours throughout the year
  • Stocking of cafeteria supplies
  • Stocking of supervisor office supplies
  • Stocking of downstairs cabinets and supply shelves for the lab. All lubricants and all industrial printer supplies
  • Stocking of all boots and freezer wear
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments from the receiving area and getting them to their designated areas
  • Sign for packages when required, moving packages with hoist as required
  • Unpack supplies, break down boxes and dispose of packing wastes
  • Transport parts, paperwork and any other items required between facilities and deliver to required locations
  • Assist with all management requests immediately upon request
  • Assist all departments, upon request, to move, pack and deliver supplies, especially heavy or multiple boxes from the reception area. Assist with placing items into shelving in the storage areas
  • Receive all goods for the office (order pads, calendars, etc.) and take to storage room as requested by office staff in a timely manner (within 24 hours). This can include; working with sales and marketing to bring in all retail and food service point of sale materials, place in the storage area and into shelving. Move all materials to and from the hoist in the maintenance procurement area communicating with those requesting the materials to ensure they are aware of where the materials are. Ensure these moves are made in a timely manner as others may be waiting on these materials
  • Use care and caution not to damage any walls, corners, and furniture throughout the facility

Position Requirements

  • Ability to multi task and prioritize tasks throughout the day
  • Work independently and ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
  • Respond to requests in a professional and supportive manner
  • Required to be efficient with computers, Maintenance software, and paperwork
  • Ability to stay on track with tasks with frequent interruptions
  • A valid Ontario Class ‘G’ Driver’s License with an excellent driving record
  • Good math skills with the ability for measuring and attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills, high proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
